Borromean islands - a fascinating pre-dinner sunset cruise around isola Bella and Madre 

Your private Lake Maggiore cruise will start at the pier in Stresa ( Baveno and Verbania Pallanza are also available as departure points as well as main hotels' private piers) where you will board a modern private motorboat to discover the beautiful scenery of lake Maggiore accompanied by someone who knows the area! Driven by a skilled boatman in a comfortable motorboat, with a shaded open space at the back or completely open space ( there is also a a covered part in the boat), you will enjoy a scenic cruise when the colours of lake Maggiore are at their best!

Your local guide will show the amazing Borromean islands frm the water and the beautiful villas and buildings around. She will tell you about the lakeside towns, old customs and traditions, food and wine, curiosities.... and she will answer any question you may have.

All this accompanied by a glass of wine / prosecco to make your sunset cruise a special one!

Option 1 (one-hour cruise):

Your motorboat will leave Stresa harbour passing near the beautiful islands in the Borromeo gulf, isola Bella and Fishermen's island, before heading towards the opposite shore of the gulf from where you will be able to admire the pretty lakeside town of Pallanza and isola Madre (described as a paradise on earth by Gustave Flaubert).

Then, you will head to the lombard shore of the lake to admire the incredible hermitage of Santa Caterina del Sasso, an amazing religious complex built centuries ago on a very steep cliff.

On the way back you will be able to have a nice view of elegant villas and the town of Stresa from offshore before getting off the boat right in the centre for your evening out or dinner in Stresa.

Option 2 (one-hour cruise):

Your motorboat will leave Stresa harbour passing near the beautiful islands in the Borromeo gulf, isola Bella and Fishermen's island, before heading towards the gorgeous little town of Baveno and its villas. Then you will cross the gulf on the way to Pallanza to admire this pretty lakeside town and its villas from offshore, sailing around isola Madre (described as a paradise on earth by Gustave Flaubert). Your private motorboat will then head towards the centre of Stresa that will appear beautiful from offshore. You will be dropped off right in the centre of Stresa for your evening out or dinner.
