How large can groups be when visiting the Borromean islands with a tour guide?

Groups with a tour guide inside the Borromeo palace of isola Bella and on isola Madre can be as large as 50 people. Whispers are required if the group is composed of more than 5 people.

Radioguide system / whispers/ headphones can be rented and provided by the local tour guide on the day of the excursion to the Borromean islands.

Micaela meets the group at Stresa port ( or Baveno and Pallanza upon request) before taking the boat and takes care of all the logistics. The length of the guided tour depends on the number of islands visited. For a tour of all three islands, a length of about 5 / 6 hours should be considered, with time for a lunch break. For a group visit to isola Bella two hours / two and a half hours is usually the time needed. For a group visit to isola Bella and isola dei Pescatori ( Fishermen's island) three hours are usually enough.
